Mission Statement:
Founded in 1992 by the New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church, the Burlington Ecumenical Gospel Choir exists to be a symbol of harmony as a racially, culturally and religiously diverse group. Drawing upon the tradition of African-American gospel music, the Burlington Ecumenical Gospel Choir seeks to witness to and to celebrate the Spirit of God alive in the community, to praise God, to deepen faith and to strengthen a sense of unity among diverse religious and racial communities in Vermont.
